Are you free to meet on Saturday 17 March at 11am outside 291 Hills Road for a 30-minute video shooting? This is so you can have your say about the proposed demolition of “Raylands”.
We are filming a short video to explain why we are against the demolition of “Raylands” 291 Hills Road and will use the video to promote our campaign through social media. The video will cover (a) a brief description of the house and garden (b) shots of traffic at the busy Hills Road/Queen Edith’s Way junction (c) the views of local residents who have objected to the development.
Although the residents associations for Hills Road and Queen Edith’s Way are non-political, we are lobbying the councillors on the Planning Committee who, with the exception of the independent chair, are all Lib Dem and Labour representatives. We already have support from: the 3 Lib Dem City councillors for Queen Edith’s Ward (George Pippas, Jennifer Page-Croft and Tim Moore); Amanda Taylor (Lib Dem County Councillor); Colin McGerty (Lib Dem candidate in the forthcoming City Council elections) and Dan Greef (Labour candidate in the City Council elections). We have invited Dan Greef and Amanda Taylor to the session on Saturday morning, and do hope you can join us.
